Experience
I am very passionate for music and have been playing the piano as well as the violin since age 4. I enjoy music and really enjoy sharing it with others; I have made it my life’s goal to pursue a career in both teaching and performing music at the highest levels as possible! Other than earning multiple graduate degrees in music as well as several scholarships and assistantships at New England Conservatory and Tainan National University of the Arts, I have also attended several music festivals under scholarship and apprenticeship offerings, such as the Franz-Schubert-Institute (Austria), Vancouver International Song Institute (Canada), Vancouver Opera Studio (Canada) and Mountain View International Festival of Song and Chamber Music (Canada). After finishing my studies at NEC, I worked at my beloved alma mater and Boston conservatory as staff pianist for a year before I moved back to Taiwan to be closer to my family where I stayed until late 2019. In addition to teaching Music and Music talented classes in Junior High School and music relatives classes in Junior College, I have been tutoring music students for 15 years both in the instruments of piano and violin, also been coaching students for 7 years, accompanying and collaborating with other instruments to help them prepare for their performances, such as juries, concerts, competitions and school's auditions. I have taught across all ages and skill levels ranging from small children, adolescents, teenagers, young adults and the elderly, and from the beginner to the professional level. I love music, love to help people improve anyway they can in the fields of music and music appreciation, want to help others maximize their musical potential! When it comes to teaching, I am energetic and passionate, helpful and cheerful and excited to get to know you and find out what your goals are! I am a very hard worker and dedicated to ensuring my students maximize their potential in music. I take the time to listen to my student's needs and goals and work with them to make sure they achieve their goals. I am happy to assist my students in finding the best practice material and resources to help you in your learning experience :)
